Musical Extravaganza Announces Upcoming Programming

The Musical Extravaganza series has its announced concerts taking place between June and September 2024.

On June 19, the “Nessun dorma” concert features opera favorites such as “La Donna e mobile” from “Rigoletto,” “Una furtiva lagrima” from “Elixir of Love,” “E Lucevan le Stele” from “Tosca,” and more. Tenors Ştefan Von Korch and Alin Stoica serve as soloists.

Then, baritone Fang Shuang and von Korch present Romanian music in “Of, Inimioară!” on July 17.

Up next is von Korch’s solo concert, “Ave Maria,” which features the sacred works by Schubert, Caccini, Gounod, and others. This one is scheduled for August 7, 2024.

Von Korch then heads to the Bragadiru Palace in Bucharest for “From Naples to Little Paris” on August 22.

Closing out the series is Adrian Mărcan and von Korch in “O Sole Mio.” This concert, held on Sept. 18, includes the duet from “The Barber of Seville,” “No puede ser,” “O Sole Mio,” “Santa Lucia,” and more.

Pianist Alexandru Burcă provides accompaniment for all concert which are held at Dalles Hall in Bucharest.
