Opera
The season opens with Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale.” Simón Orfila, Enric Martínez-Castignani, María José Moreno, Sofía Esparza, Francesco Demuro, Juan Antonio Sanabria, and Damián del Castillo lead the cast. Maestro Sesto Quatrini conducts Emiliano Suárez’s production.
Performance Dates: Oct. 19-28, 2024
The second opera is Puccini’s “Il Trittico.” “Il Tabarro” will star Carlos Álvarez, Ángeles Blancas, Marco Berti, and Ana Ibarra while “Suor Angelica” will star Chiara Isotton and Karita Mattila. Finally “Gianni Schicchi” will star Carlos Álvarez, Sofía Esparza, Ioan Hotea, and Ana Ibarra. Maestro Pedro Halffter conducts the new production by Paco Azorín.

Oksana Dyka, Gwyn Hughes Jones, Marko Mimica, Egils Silins, Carlos Daza, and Daniela Barcellona star in Wagner’s “Tristan und Isolde.” Conductor Erik Nielsen leads Allex Aguilera’s production.

Valentina Carrasco directs Donizetti’s “La Favorite” with Riccardo Frizza conducting. Silvia Tro Santafé, Ismael Jordi, Simón Orfila, and Vladimir Stoyanov star.
Performance Dates: Feb. 15-24, 2025
Baritone Amartuvshin Enkhbat returns for a recital with Stefano Salvatori.
Performance Dates: March 29, 2025
The season concludes with Verdi’s “Otello” with Jorge de León, Ermonela Jaho, and Claudio Sgura. Director Ignacio Garcia leads the production, while Francesco Ivan Ciampa conducts.

Family Opera
Serguéi Prokófiev’s “Pedro eta Otsoa” will be directed by Enrique Lanz.
Performance Dates: Nov. 23-25, 2024
The second work will be “Dartagnan y los Jovenes Mosqueteros” Jesús María Echeverría. Víctor Uriarte directs the production.
Performance Dates: Jan. 3-5, 2025
Iñigo Casalí’s “El Traje Nuevo del Emperador” will be diretced by Ion Barbarin.
Performance Dates: March 15-17, 2025
Maurice Delage, Claude Debussy, and José López Montes’s music will be showcased in “Soy Salvaje.” Joaquín Casanova directs.
Performance Dates: May 10-12, 2025
