Jennifer Lopez is the latest pop star to attend the opera.

After Dua Lipa made a surprise visit to the Teatro alla Scala earlier in September, Lopez attended the LA Opera’s opening night production of “Carmen.”

The pop star and actress with more than 239 million followers on instagram attended the opening wearing Dolce and Gabbana and posted pictures of her outfit with the caption “Night Out.”

In response, the LA Opera said, “What a night! ✨ Thank you for joining us for opening night of Carmen!”

Lopez is a Golden Globe nominated and Grammy winning actress and singer who has headlined the Super Bowl and has sold 80 million records worldwide. Meanwhile, her films have cumulatively grossed over $1.9 billion.

“Carmen” is currently starring Rihab Chaieb, Joshua Guerrero, Kathleen O’Mara, and Liam James Karai. Domingo Hindoyan conducts the new production by Thaddeus Strassberger, which runs through Nov. 7, 2026.
