Benjamin Bernheim to Perform at Carnegie Hall

By Francisco Salazar

Carnegie Hall is set to present the Orchestra of St. Luke’s in an all-Berlioz program.

The concert, which will be presented on Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. at the Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, will be conducted by Louis Langrée and will star Benjamin Bernheim, in a rare New York performance.

The program will include Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique and “Les nuis d’été (Summer Nights).” The program will also include the surviving overture from his discarded opera Les “francs-juges.”

Bernheim is an acclaimed tenor who has performed all over the world at such theaters as the Teatro alla Scala, Metropolitan Opera, Paris Opera, and Wiener Staatsoper.
