New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera Announces New Leadership, Operas For 2020-21

The New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera has announced some major changes.

First off, the company is now under new management with Giorgio Lalov as its new Artistic Director and Jason C. Tramm as its new musical director. Lalov assumed the position on Oct. 3, 2019.

In addition to new leadership, the company has also revamped its social media accounts and website and has also planned ahead for its 2020 season.

The company is set to start its 2020 season with “Great Moments in Italian Opera” this April 18, 2020 at the Westside Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Later on in the year, the company will present Puccini’s masterpiece “Madama Butterfly” at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey. A year later, in winter 2021, the company will present Puccini’s “La Bohème.” Both operas will feature productions by Lalov.
