New Camerata Opera has unveiled “The Sleuth Salon,” a murder mystery gala set to take place on Nov. 12, 2020.

The event will be directed by Jennifer Williams and will feature 10 singers alongside pianist Dan Franklin Smith in a “who-done-it” story.

The singers include sopranos Samina Aslam, María Brea, MaKayla McDonald, and Barbara Porto; mezzo-sopranos Eva Parr and Julia Tang; tenors Erik Bagger and Victor Khodadad; and baritones Stan Lacy and Scott Lindroth.

The evening will include a virtual red carpet and a 1930’s style costume contest.

The company previously announced its 2020-21 season, which will include a “Masquerade” to open the season, as well as a YouTube series “Party at the Opera” and the final episode of “The Ives Project.”

The 2020-21 slate represents New Camerata Opera’s fifth season.
