Nashville Opera to Close 2023-24 Season with ‘The Magic Flute’

The Nashville Opera will close its 2023-24 season with Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.”

The opera will be directed by Nashville Opera CEO & Artistic Director John Hoomes and will be presented April 12 and 13 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Jackson Hall.

The production will include costumes created by Marie Ann Chiment for the Tennessee Bicentennial in 1996 and will star Jasmine Habersham (as Princess Pamina), Joshua Sanders (as Prince Tamino), Jesus Vincente Murillo (as Papageno), Matthew Anchel (as Sarastro), and Rainelle Krause (as The Queen of the Night).

Rounding out the cast will be Sabreena Cherrington (as the First Lady), Maria De Conzo (as the Third Lady), Jordan Costa (as Monostatos), and Andrew Payne (as the Speaker).

The Nashville Opera Orchestra will be conducted by Dean Williamson.
