The Washington Chorus Announces 2026-27 Season

The Washington Chorus has announced its 2026-27 season.

Gianandrea Noseda conducts the National Symphony Orchestra and The Washington Chorus in Beethoven’s Sympohony No. 9 with Tessa McQueen, Cecelia McKinley, Demetrious Sampson, and Jonathan Patton.

Performance Date: August 14, 2026 at Filene Center, Wolf Trap


Marin Alsop conducts the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and The Washington Chorus in music by Tchaikovsky, John Adams, and Brahms.

Performance Dates: Oct. 15-18, 2026 at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall  & Music Center at Strathmore


Eugene Rogers leads a Candlelight Christmas with soloists Christie Dashiell, Howard University Concert Choir, National Capital Brass and Percussion Ensemble, Reservoir High School, and South Loudon Youth Chorale in a world premiere by Evelyn Simpson-Curenton.

Performance Dates: Dec. 11-22, 2026 at Howard University, Music Center at Strathmore & George Washington University


Eugene Rogers conducts Poulenc’s Gloria and Nkeiru Okoye’s “When the Caged Bird Sings” with Denyce Graves, Cyrus Chestnut, Angela Brown, Christie Dashiell, Issachah Savage, Michael Preacely, The Washington Chorus, and Howard University Chorale.

Performance Date: Feb. 28, 2027 at DAR Constitution Hall


Eugene Rogers conducts Mozart’s “Requiem” with Rabihah Dunn, Ashley Dixon, Brian Giebler, Alan Williams, National Philharmonic, and The Washington Chorus.

Performance Date: May 8, 2027 at Music Center at Strathmore


Jonathon Heyward conducts the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and The Washington Chorus in Verdi’s “Requiem.”

Performance Dates: June 11-13, 2027 at Music Center at Strathmore & Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall
