
Musica Transalpina to Showcase ‘Vocal Gems from Early Tudor England’ at Sierra Madre Playhouse

Baroque Ensemble Musica Transalpina will showcase a “Vocal Gems from Early Tudor England” program on August 23, 2025.
The performance, set to take place at the Sierra Madre Playhouse starting at 7:30 p.m. local time, will be led by Musical Director Bryan Roach. The centerpiece of the program will be Robert Fayrfax’s “Miss O bone Jhesu,” a work commissioned by Lady Margaret Beaufort. The mass includes three choir books compiled between 1515, 1520, and 1525.
Headlining the program are such vocalists as Anna Schubert, William Duffey, Dr. R. Matthew Brown, Luc Kleiner, and John Buffett.
Sean Maxwell performs the organ.
