Sierra Madre Playhouse will present “Nacht und Träume” on August 3, 2024.

The program will be headlined by soprano Elissa Johnston and pianist Vicki Ray and features music by Schubert (his “Nacht und Träume”), Rachel Beetz (“Unofficial Dreams”), Noah Neites (“Book of Beasts”), Andrew McIntosh (“Intermezzo” and “After Midnight”), Berg (three works including “Nacht,” “Die Nachtigall” and “Traumgekrönt”), and Bill Alves (“Liminal Landscape”).

Johnston has performed with such organizations as the Long Beach Symphony, Albany Symphony, American Ballet Theater, Segerstrom Hall, Pacific Symphony, L.A. Philharmonic, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Street Symphony, Los Angeles Master Chorale, the Salzburg Festival, Melbourne International Arts Festival, Ravinia Festival, and Aukland Arts Festival.

The performance kicks off at 7:30 p.m. local time.
