Mark Delavan, Felicia Moore Headline Opera Maine’s ‘The Flying Dutchman’

Opera Maine is set to present Wagner’s “The Flying Dutchman” starting on July 27, 2022.

The opera, which will be the centerpiece of the company’s new season, will be presented at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland, Main and will be conducted by Israel Gursky. Dona D. Vaughn will direct the opera which will be headlined by Mark Delavan, Felicia Moore, Richard Bernstein, Norman Reinhardt, Jonathan Boyd, and Sahoko Sato Timpone.

There will be an additional performance on July 29, 2022. This production will also be part of the company’s Opera for All!” program in which anyone aged 25 or younger can procure a ticket for free.

The company is also set to present productions of “The Fall of the House of Usher” as well as “Art with Arias” at the Portland Museum of Art.
