Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Changes Final Date for ‘Madama Butterfly’ Again

The Maggio Musicale Fiorentino has announced a date change for its upcoming production of “Madama Butterfly.”

The company noted that the last performance will now be on Dec. 27 instead of Dec. 22. This is the second time the organization switches the date for the last performance. The original performance date was Dec. 19.

Audiences will be able to use their original tickets for the new date.

“Madama Butterfly” opens on Dec. 9, 2021 and will be directed by Chiara Muti. Francesco Ivan Ciampa will conduct the production which is set to star Svetlana Aksenova, Sergei Skorokhodov, Alessandro Luongo, and Laura Verrecchia.

The cast will also include Alessio Cacciamani, Paolo Antognetti, Francesca Cucuzza, André Courville, Francesco Samuele Venuti, Alfonso Zambuto, Nicolò Ayroldi, Diego Barretta, Elena Bazzo, Chiara Chisu, Elena Cavini, Ramona Gabriela Peter, Nadia Pirazzini, and Thalida Marina Fogarasi.
