Young People’s Chorus of New York City Unveils Spring & Summer 2024 Season

Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPCNYC) has announced its Spring and Summer season.

First up is “The Crack-a-lackin’ Classical Concert.” The showcase will feature the ensemble alongside such artists as DJ Boo, Julia Bengtsson, Leadlights Ensemble, Washington Heights Community Choir, and the New York Youth Symphony.

Performance Date: May 5, 2024

Then comes the Annual Spring Celebration Concert at the United Palace in New York. The ensemble will present Broadway favorites and classical choral pieces.

Performance Date: June 2, 2024

A few weeks later, the Young People’s Chorus of New York City heads to Lincoln Center to prersent Red Light, Green Light, which features the voices of over 1,500 New York public school children.

Performance Date: June 12, 2024

“A Crisis of Responsibility: Excerpts from The Shell Trial” will feature insights and excerpts from the new work by Ellen Reid and Roxie Perkins.

Performance Date: June 13, 2024

YPCNYC then performs at Mile High Choral Festival  in Denver.

Performance Date: June 24-28, 2024

The Chorus then heads to New Zealand to compete in the World Choir Games.

Performance Date: July 10-20, 2024

Closing out the summer proram ing is the YPC national Lab and Studio Summer Program at the Music Academy in Santa Barbara, CA.

Performance Date: July 22 – 29, 2024
