Lucy Shelton to Headline Talea Ensemble’s ‘Sequenze III’

The Talea Ensemble will continue its celebration of Luciano Berio with “Sequenze III” on Feb. 17, 2026.

The program features clarinetist Rane Moore and bassoonist Adrian Morejon, Talea’s Executive Director, with guest soprano Lucy Shelton. The program includes Anthony Braxton’s “Composition No. 304” for Clarinet and Bassoon, Luciano Berio’s “Sequenza IXa for Clarinet,” “Sequenza XII for Bassoon,” and “Sequenza III for Female Voice,” and Yoshiaki Onishi’s “Gz III for Bass Clarinet and Bassoon.”

The performance takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Bartholomew Hall at the Church of St. Luke and St. Matthew in Brooklyn.

In addition to this performance, Shelton is set to appear in the Met Opera’s production of “Innocence” this spring, followed by the Walter W. Naumburg Foundation 100th Anniversary Celebration in May.
