Lucia Bradford, Kearstin Piper Brown, and Jorell Williams Headline New York Festival of Song’s ‘The Wider View: Songs by Black Composers’

On April 13, 2022 New York Festival of Song will conclude its 2021-22 Mainstage Series with “The Wider View: Songs by Black Composers.”

Co-presented by Kaufman Music Center, the concert will feature mezzo-soprano Lucia Bradford, soprano Kearstin Piper Brown, and baritone Jorell Williams; they will be accompanied by pianists Nathaniel LaNasa and Steven Blier. The program will draw from the works of composers such as H. Leslie Adams, Margaret Bonds, Harry Burleigh, Adolphus C. Hailstork, Robert Owens, Hale Smith, and William Grant Still.

The concert will be held at Merkin Hall, with tickets available for purchase on NYFOS’ website.

Now in its 34th season, the New York Festival of Song continues to provide engaging, artistic programming to new and established audiences.
