Los Angeles Master Chorale Unveils 2024-25 Season

The Los Angeles Master Chorale has unveiled its 2024-25 season.

First up is “Sing Joyfully: 60th anniversary Celebration Concert.” The event features 80 singers and pianist Grant Gershon as they take on a massive list of works by Byrd, Tomkins, Lotti, de Padilla, Bruckner, Tchaikovsky, Górecki, Lauridsen, Parker, Copland, Hogan, and Bernstein, among others.

Performance Date: Oct. 6, 2024

”All You Need is Love” features works by Arlen, Dilworth, King, Lauridsen, and Thompson, among others. Grant Gershon leads 62 singers and the instrumentalists of MUSE/IQUE.

Performance Date: Nov. 10, 2024

Grant Gershon leads 62 singers in “Festival of Carols.”

Performance Date: Dec. 7, 2024

Grant Gershon leads Mozart’s arrangement of Händel’s “Messiah.”

Performance Date: Dec. 15, 2024

Grant Gershon leads “Carols on the Plaza.”

Performance Date: Dec. 16, 2024

Then comes a sing-along performance of “Messiah.”

In the New Year, the company presents “Lift Every Voice” with Jason Max Ferdinand conducting. The program includes music by Burton, Robinson, Carter, King, Hailstork, Beethoven, Dawson, and Burton, among others.

Performance Date: Jan. 19, 2025

JennyWong leads a world premiere by Reena Esmail and “Carmina Burana.”

Performance Date: March 16, 2025

Then comes Rufus Wainwright’s “Dream Requiem.” Grant Gershon conducts.

Performance Date: May 4, 2025

The season ends with “New Renaissance,” a program featuring works by Byrd, Brown, Whitacre, Trumbore, Esmail, Franco, Sisamouth, and Abels.

Performance Date: June 1, 2025

The organization also performs with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and tour performances in Belgium and France.
