The company opens the season with a new production of Verdi’s “Macbeth,” starring Lise Davidsen, Quinn Kelsey, Freddie De Tommaso, and Ryan Speedo Green. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts a production by Louisa Proske.

The Metropolitan Opera will present the world premiere of Missy Mazzoli’s “Lincoln in the Bardo“ — a Met commission co-produced with Los Angeles Opera, with a libretto by Royce Vavrek — directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz and starring Peter Mattei as Abraham Lincoln and Christine Goerke as The Reverend.
Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Steven Osgood conduct a cast that also includes Michael Mayes, Janai Brugger, Stephanie Blythe, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Jonah Hoskins, Joshua Blue, Ryan McKinny.

In the spring, Brian Jagde, Ailyn Pérez, Artur Ruciński, Piotr Buszweski, Deborah Nansteel, and Vitalij Kowaljow star in. Michele Mariotti conducts.
