Isabel Leonard, Sasha Cooke & Nicholas Phan Lead Houston Symphony Orchestra’s 2026-27 Season

The Houston Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2026-27 season. Here are the vocal performances.

Steven Reineke conducts opening night with Isabel Leonard as the soloist.

Performance Dates: Sept. 19, 2026


Juraj Valčuha conducts a Rachmaninoff performance with Aleksey Bogdanov and the Houston Symphony Chorus.

Performance Dates: Oct. 2, 3, & 4, 2026


Juraj Valčuha conducts Sasha Cooke in a program that includes Hermann, Ravel, and Prokofiev.

Performance Dates: Nov. 27, 28, & 29, 2026


Händel’s “Messiah” will be conducted by Ken -David Masur and will star Joélle Harvey, Sun -Ly Pierce, Nicholas Phan, and Dashon Burton.

Performance Dates: Dec. 18, 19 & 20, 2026


Kevin John Edusei, conducts cellist Brinton Averil Smith and Houston Symphony Chorus in a program that includes Smyth, Saint -Saëns, and Ravel.

Performance Dates: May 14, 15, & 16, 2027
