The Staatsoper unter den Linden has announced that Ludovic Tézier has withdrawn from Verdi’s “Un ballo in Maschera.”

As a result, Amartuvshin Enkhbat will take over for Tézier for the March 29, April 1 and 4 performances in a new production by Rafael R. Villalobos.

Enkhbat has performed the role at the San Francisco Opera and Teatro Regio di Parma.

The production is set to open on March 29 and will star Charles Castronovo, Anna Netrebko, Anna Kissjudit, and Enkeleda Kamani. Boris Pinkhasovich will sing the final performance on April 6, 2026 as Renato. Enrique Mazzola conducts.

Tézier recently sang the role of Renato at the Teatro San Carlo and Paris Opera. He is currently singing at the Latvian National Opera and recently finished recording a new album with the Morphing Chamber Orchestra.
