By David SalazarLos Angeles Opera is offering residents affected by the wildfires complimentary tickets for its Feb. 1, 2025 concert featuring Kelli O’Hara.
The tickets will also be offered to first responders dedicated to recovery in Los Angeles County.
“Our hearts are filled with concern for those whose lives were upended by the wildfires that have devastated our community,” said Christopher Koelsch, the company’s president and CEO, in an official press release. “We believe that music is the greatest healing force in the universe, capable of bringing us together for solace, peace, reflection, empathy and inspiration during the most difficult of times. In that spirit, we are offering free tickets and complimentary parking to our February 1 concert starring Kelli O’Hara, as a heartfelt expression of love to the many Angelenos who have lost their homes or livelihoods or were forced to evacuate. With deepest gratitude and profound respect, we also welcome the heroic first responders who have been battling the fires so bravely and those who are playing an essential part in our community’s recovery by providing support to those who have been impacted.”
The Feb. 1 concert will take place at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and showcases O’Hara alongside the LA Opera Orchestra.
