Metropolitan Opera to Revive ‘The Hours’ with Kelli O’Hara, Renée Fleming & Joyce DiDonato
By Francisco SalazarThe Metropolitan Opera is set to revive Kevin Puts’ “The Hours” for eight performances.
The opera, which opens on May 5, will star Kelli O’Hara, Renée Fleming, and Joyce DiDonato, all reprising their roles. Kensho Watanabe returns to the podium and the cast will be rounded out by tenor William Burden, tenor Sean Panikkar, bass-baritone Kyle Ketelsen, and bass-baritone Brandon Cedel.

“The Hours” will be broadcast on May 10, 18, and 28 performances live on Metropolitan Opera Radio on the SiriusXM app. The May 18 performance will also be broadcast over The Robert K. Johnson Foundation–Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network.
