The Korean National Opera has signed a business agreement with Sansu Beverage Co., Ltd.’s eco-friendly bottled water brand “I’m Eco.”

This agreement was created with the purpose of creating a sustainable performance culture where art and the environment coexist. It also allows for eco-friendly consumption practices to naturally permeate the culture. The Company under the direction of Choi Sang-ho aims to naturally spread the eco-friendly consumption culture in everyday life by providing “I’m Eco’s” ethical made bottled mineral water to audiences members.

The National Opera Company has been working to create a sustainable performance culture by making efforts to reuse stages and costumes and introducing E-program books. Starting with this agreement, the Company plans to continuously expand eco-friendly elements throughout the entire process of performance production, operation, and promotion, and to establish itself as a cultural and artistic organization that practices responsible management.

It also plans to expand to regional performances, performances for children, and educational programs, and deliver the message of “the meeting of art and the environment.”

CEO Kim Ji-hoon is quoted in a press release saying, “This agreement with the National Opera is a meaningful start to realizing sustainable values where culture, arts, and the environment are in harmony. The National Opera will continue to create a performance culture that considers both the environment and social responsibility,” and “I hope that the audience will also participate in eco-friendly values along with the excitement of the stage.”
