
Kirsten Solleck Headlines String Orchestra of Brooklyn Concert
By David SalazarThe String Orchestra of Brooklyn will feature alto Kirsten Sollek in a performance on June 15, 2024.
Solleck will perform Elgar’s “Sea Pictures” at the St. Ann and the Holy Trinity Church starting at 8 p.m. local time. Also on the program are works by Debussy, Sibelius, and Lanzilotti.
Eli Spindel conducts the program.
Solleck previously performed Brahms’ “Alto Rhapsody” and sang the role of Mama Lucia in “Cavalleria Rusticana” with the organization. She has also performed with the Bach Collegium Japan, the Hellicone Foundation, the Seattle Baroque Orchestra, Boston Baroque, Teatro Municipal de Santiago, Chile, and Eastman Opera Theatre, among others.
