
Katharina Kammerloher Bids Farewell to Berlin State Oper Ensemble

The new was announced by the company via social media and said, “For over 30 years, she has graced our stage in numerous opera roles, concerts, and recitals; now Katharina Kammerloher is bidding farewell to the ensemble. In her farewell recital ‘Saisons d’amour’ on June 9, 2026, in the Apollosaal, she will perform songs and chamber music by Cécile Chaminade alongside pianist Johann Blanchard and violinist Martha Cohen. Katharina Kammerloher has shaped the Staatsoper Unter den Linden for many years with her artistic versatility, musicality, and stage presence. We extend our heartfelt thanks to her for her long-standing dedication and her connection to our house.”
Kammerloher joined the Berlin State Opera in 1993 and has performed such roles as Ottaviain “L’incoronazione di Poppea,” Komponist in “Ariadne auf Naxos,” Marcellina in “Le nozze di Figaro,” Geneviève in “Pelléas et Mélisande,” Magdalena in “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg,” and Meg Page in “Falstaff.”
