Juan Diego Flórez, Jonas Kaufmann, Elīna Garanča & Marina Rebeka Headline Wiener Staatsoper’s New Streaming Slate

The Wiener Staatsoper has announced the streaming program for the week featuring Wagner, Rossini, Bellini, and Puccini.

The week begins with Bellini’s La Sonnambula conducted by Guillermo García Calvo and starring Daniela Fally, Juan Diego Flórez, Luca Pisaroni, and Maria Nazarova.

Kamil Pavelka, Maria Yakovleva, Denys Cherevychko, and Olga Esina star in “Don Quixote” conducted by Kevin Rhodes.

Streaming Date: April 14, 2021

Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” from a 2019 performance will stream starring Juan Diego Flórez, Margarita Gritskova, Rafael Fingerlos, and Paolo Rumetz. Evelino Pidò conducts.

Streaming Date: April 15, 2021

Sondra Radvanovsky, Piotr Beczała, and Thomas Hampson star in the 2019 performance of Puccini’s Tosca.” Marco Armiliato conducts.

Streaming Date: April 16, 2021

Valentina Naforniţă, Stephen Costello, Marco Caria, and Erwin Schrott star in a 2016 performance of Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore” with Marco Armiliato conducting.

Streaming Date: April 17, 2021

Jonas Kaufmann, Elīna Garanča, Ludovic Tézier, Georg Zeppenfeld, and Wolfgang Koch star in a new production of “Parsifal” directed by Kirill Serebrennikov. Philippe Jordan conducts the production which will also be seen on ARTE Concert.

Puccini’sLa Bohème concludes the week with a 2018 performance starring Marina Rebeka, Benjamin Bernheim, Clemens Unterreiner, Hans Peter Kammerer, and Mariam Battistelli. Speranza Scapucci conducted the performance.
