
Joshua Conyers, José Rubio, Marie Masters Webb to Headline Vashon Opera’s ‘Falstaff’
By David SalazarVashon Opera is set to cap its 2024-25 season with a production of Verdi’s final opera, “Falstaff.”
Set for performances on May 23 and 25 at the Vashon Center for the Arts, the comedy will star Joshua Conyers in the title role.
Of his upcoming performances with the company, Conyers stated that “I love the people. I have performed on Vashon Island and Seattle several times and I always feel welcomed and appreciated. The love for the arts is so strong on the island and I always feel supported. Vashon Opera is an amazing arts organization and I’m just so happy to be asked back!”
Conyers is joined by José Rubio as Ford and Marie Masters Webb as Alice Ford. Other cast members include Allison Poul as Nanneta, Nerys Jones as Meg Page, Emily Pulley as Mistress Quickly, Brendan Tuohy as Fenton, Simon Peterssen as Dr. Caius, Nick Stevens as Bardolfo, and Michael Drumheller as Pistola.
James Brown will conduct and stage direct the production.
