Sinfonietta Bel Canto has unveiled its 2026-27 season.

First up is the SBC Invitational concert at St. Paul’s UCC Church in Downers Grove, Illinois and features vocal soloists drawn from last season’s SBC Voice Competition, performing under conductor Dan D’Andrea.

Performers include soprano Reilly Shannon, mezzo-soprano Sora Williams, soprano Cassidy Bailey, soprano Sarah Heitman, and soprano Margaret Meierhenry.

Performance Date: Sept. 27, 2026

The company will also present a staged productions of Humperdinck’s “Hänsel und Gretel” in an abridged version with ballet.

Performance Dates: Nov. 15 & 22, 2026

There will be a holiday concert.

Performance Dates: Dec. 13, 2026 &  Jan. 1, 2027

There will be another concert celebrating “Celebrating Women & Voices” that will also feature the SBC Voice Competition Finalists.

Performance Dates: March 21, 2027

Then comes Bristow’s “Rip Van Winkle,” an abridged two act grand romantic opera.
