
Jonathan Nott Steps Down as Music Director of Orchestre de la Suisse Romande

Jonathan Nott is stepping down from his position as Music and Artistic Director of Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
Nott began in his position eight years ago in 2017 and will end his tenure in 2026 following the 2025-26 season. He first conducted the orchestra in 2014 as a guest conductor.
Nott has been the Principal Conductor of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie for ten years, between 2014 and 2024 and he launched the Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition, designed to inspire and support the world-famous conductors of tomorrow.
Nott is also the Music Director of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra since 2012.
