Jodie Devos will replace Lisette Oropesa at the Festival Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot in Burgundy on June 19.

The festival noted, “Lisette Oropesa, internationally acclaimed soprano and Young Talent Musique & Vin 2012, was going to open the 14th éditon of the Festival on Sunday. Suffering from Covid, she is forced to cancel her recital. She will be replaced by the young and sparkling soprano Jodie Devos whom we are very happy to welcome in Burgundy.”

Devos will perform a program of music by Fauré, Debussy, Thomas, Bridge, Gurney, Verdi, and Bernstein. The soprano will be joined by pianists Edward Liddal and Samuel Glicklich.

Devos is a Belgian soprano who has performed at the Opéra Comique, Opéra Royal de Wallonie, Opéra national de Montpellier, and Opéra Bastille, among others.
