Renée Fleming Among Headliners of Tulsa Opera’s 2024-25 Season
By David SalazarTulsa Opera has announced its 2024-25 season, which will feature five productions and concerts.
“Tulsans love singing, instrumental music, dance, visual art, and theater,” said Artistic Director Aaron Beck in an official press release. “Opera has all of those and more. We chose our 2024-25 season with this in mind – a wide variety of works to cater to a wide variety of tastes.”
There will be a concert featuring Act two of “Tosca” starring Michael Chioldi and Leah Crocetto. Lyndon Meyer performs at the piano.
Performance Date: Oct. 8, 2024
First off is “Grand Voices: The Tulsa Opera Chorus in Concert,” a showcase conducted by Lyndon Meyer and feature excerpts from “Carmen,” “Roméo et Juliette,” “Cavalleria Rusticana,” “Les Misérables,” “Sunday in the Park,” and “Candide,” among others. The Filstrup Resident Artists will take on solo parts in the performance. The soloists include sopranos Paige Dickey, Alexandra Johnson, Karlena Riggs and Stephanie Washington; mezzo-soprano Maddie Breedlove; and tenors Sam Briggs and Justin Kroll. They are joined by guest artists, sopranos Lindsey Rollins and Mary Ann Stewart, tenors Kyle Bloomer, Matt Corcoran, and Todd Maxwell, and baritones Chris Jenkins and Jeffrey McCollum.

The comes “The Tragedy of Carmen” starring Stephanie Doche, Nathan Bowles, Stephanie Washington, and Jason Detwiler. Carolyn Watson conducts and Eugenia Arsenis directs.
Performance Date: Feb. 21 & 23, 2025
Lisa Marie Rogalie and Jason Zacher headline the final President’s Council Dinner Concert.
Performance Date: April 22, 2025
That is followed up by a performance of Dvorak’s “Stabat Mater” with the Tulsa Opera Signature Chorus under Aaron Beck. Soloists include Justin Kroll, Paige Dickey, Mark McCrory, and Mary Ann Stewart.
Performance Date: April 26, 2025
Renée Fleming will headline “Voice of Nature: The Anthropocene” alongside the Tulsa Opera Orchestra and a multimedia presentation by National Geographic Society. Robert Moody conducts.
Performance Date: May 10, 2025
Finally, Tulsa Youth Opera will present Dean Burry’s adaptation of “The Hobbit.” Dani Keil directs and William Boles conducts.
Performance Date: June 7, 2025
