The Fourth Wall Ensemble is set to make its Carnegie Hall debut on June 3, 2024.

The ensemble will present a live-to-picture U.S. premiere of five-time Emmy-winning composer Jeff Beal’s score for the Weimar Cinema masterpiece, “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.”

Jeff Beal, who also makes his debut in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, will lead the Silver Nitrate Big Band and Fourth Wall Ensemble in what is considered one of the most influential silent films in history. The film is from the holdings of the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Murnau-Stiftung in Wiesbaden.

The Fourth Wall Ensemble is a New York vocal ensemble that was founded in 2023 and has already performed at Merkin Hall at Lincoln Center and with Death of Classical.
