FC Bergman to Stage ‘Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria’ at Grand Théâtre de Genève

Grand Théâtre de Genève is set to present Monteverdi’s masterpiece “Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria” this February.
The opera will be directed by Flemish collective FC Bergman and is set to star Mark Padmore in the title role. Joining him will be Sara Mingardo as Pénélope and Jorge Navarro Colorado as Télémaque. Fabio Biondi conducts the Europa Galante ensemble in the production.
The opera is set to open on Feb. 27, 2023 and runs through March 7, 2023.
FC Bergman is a theater collective comprised of six artists including Stef Aerts, Joé Agemans, Bart Hollanders, Matteo Simoni, Thomas Verstraeten, and Marie Vinck. The group won the 2009 Young Theatre Prize at Theater Aan Zee and was shortlisted for the Flemish-Dutch Theatre Festival.
