On May 3, 2024, Xabier Anduaga encored the audience of the Wiener Staatsoper.

The tenor shared the news via social media noting that after his “Una Futirva Lagrima,” he received an ovation that forced him to encore. In a statement, he said, “I honestly have no words to describe how I felt last night. Probably one of the most special nights of my career. Doing an encore at the Wiener Staatsoper. Thank you to everyone who was there and to all who support me from where you are.

Anduaga also shared a video of the encore on Instagram.

The tenor concludes his run of performances of “L’Elisir d’Amore” on May 6 and returns to the Royal Opera House from performances of “Lucia di Lammermoor.”
