Donald Brinegar Singers and JPL Chorus will present a concert of Choral Music titled “Child of Wonder” at St. Andrew Church in Pasadena on June 11, 2023.

The concert will be dedicated to Donald Brinegar’s grandson, Justin, who passed away at the age of 12 due to a rare form of cancer.

The concert takes its name from the featured song, “Child of Wonder,” which celebrates the marvels of childhood; moreover, it sets the stage for the remainder of the program, which showcases songs about childhood. Among those is the premiere of David Saldaña’s composition, “Love is Little.”

The program also includes arrangements by renowned composers such as John Turner, Eric Whitacre, Randall Thompson, John Rutter, Elaine Hagenberg, Dan Forrest, Stephen Paulus, Randall Stroppe, and Mark Brymer.
