Chatham Baroque Announces 2023-24 Concert Series

Leading period ensemble Chatham Baroque announces its “Chatham Baroque + Renaissance & Baroque 2023-24 Concert Series.”

For the purposes of this article, only vocal works are included.

Soprano Danielle Svonavec leads the Baltimore Consort’s “In Angel’s Wede – Music of Mary Queen of Scots.” 

Performance Date: November 18, 2023

Chatham Baroque and Calvary Episcopal Church present a program initiative for the city-wide Violins of Hope exhibition. Soprano Sarah Nadler and mezzo-soprano Raquel Winnica perform music by the Jewish Venetian composer Salamone Rossi,
including “Psalm-settings for soprano and mezzo-soprano.”

Performance Date: November 26, 2023

Calvary Episcopal Church and Chatham Baroque co-present Händel’s “Messiah.” Soloists include soprano Sarah Nadler, mezzo-soprano Raquel Winnica Young, tenor Guy Russo, and bass Edward Vogel, with the the Calvary Choir and Chatham Baroque.

Performance Date: December 8, 2023

“Alegría – Music of Baroque Spain and the Americas” stars soprano Nell Snaidas and mezzo-soprano Raquel Winnica Young.

Performance Dates: December 16 & 17, 2023

Soprano Pascale Beaudin serves as soloist in “Through the Wood, Laddie – Music of Baroque Scotland and Acadia.”

Performance Dates: January 26, 27, & 28, 2024

Bass-Baritone Jonathan Woody singing J.S. Bach’s Cantata, “Ich habe genug” (BWV 82) in celebration of Bach’s birthday with some of his most beloved works.

Performance Dates: March 15 & 16, 2024
