Pascale Beaudin & Reginald Mobley Headline Chatham Baroque’s ‘Stabat Mater’

By Logan Martell

On April 2, 2022, Chatham Baroque will present Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s setting of the “Stabat Mater,” in a program alongside music by Vivaldi, and Johann Heinrich Schmelzer.

Soprano Pascale Beaudin and countertenor Reginald Mobley will be the featured soloists, joined by CB artists including violinist Andrew Fouth, Scott Pauley on the theorbo and archlute, and Patricia Halverson on the viola da gamba and violone. Guest artists include violinist Cynthia Black, violist Kristen Linfante, and harpsichord/organist Adam Pearl.

Both Beaudin and Mobley appeared with Chatham Baroque in the company’s 2020-21 Video Concert Series; Beaudin has also appeared in six other unique programs with Chatham Baroque since 2016.

The program will run on April 2 and 3, and will be held at the East Liberty Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Audience members will be required to show proof of vaccination, with masks being required.
