TENET Vocal Artists Unveils 2023-24 Season

New York’s TENET Vocal Artists has announced its 2023 Fall / Winter and 15th anniversary season.

The season opens with “Angels and Queens,” which spotlights music by Purcell and his contemporaries. Soloists include Jolle Greenleaf, James Reese, Elisa Sutherland, and Jonathan Woody. The event will take place at St. Luke in the Fields.

Performance Date: Oct. 21, 2023

Next up is “The Lady Fortune” which features works by De Machaut, De Anglia, Orff, and De Vitry. Soloists include Jolle Greenleaf, James Reese, and Elisa Sutherland. The event will take place at Corpus Christi Church.

Performance Date: Nov. 19, 2023

“Unconventional Wisdom,” which will be co-presented by Trinity Wall Street, will feature works by Chaira Maria Cozzolani, Sulpitia Cesis, Vittoria Aleotti, and Caterina Assandra. The event will feature a collaboration with Downtown Voices, led by Elena Williamson. Soloists include Jolle Greenleaf, Margareth Haigh, Kate Maroney, and Elisa Sutherland.

Performance Date: Dec. 7, 2023

Kicking off 2024 will be “Forces of Nature” at the Tenri Cultural Institute. The event will feature music by Binchois, Jacopo da Bologna, and Hildegard von Bingen, among others. Jolle Greenleaf, Shira Kammen, Daphna Mor, and Phoebe Jetovic Rosquist will be the vocal soloists.

Performance Date: Feb. 10, 2024

Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater” will star Kristen Dubenion-Smith and Jolle Greenleaf.

Performance Date: March 8 & 9, 2024

“The Power of Mythology” will feature a new work by Reena Esmail and other medieval works. The soloists include Jolle Greenleaf, Sherezade Panthaki, and Elisa Sutherland.

Performance Date: April 20, 2024

“Sisters of the Moon” wil feature music by Shira Kammen” and will be headlined by Jolle Greenleaf, Laura Mercado-Wright, and Laura Pudwell.

Performance Date: May 4, 2024

Closing out the season will be Bach’s “Mass in B Minor.” Vocal Soloists include Jolle Greenleaf, Sonya Headlam, Enrico Lagasca, Steven Hrycelak, Kate Maroney, Sherezade Panthaki, Jacob Perry, James Reese, Margot Rood, Clara Rottsolk, Gene Stenger, Elisa Sutherland, and Jonathan Woody.

Performance Date: June 1, 2024

All concerts will be presented virtually after the original presentation and audiences will have on demand access to them for two months.
