Central City Opera Unveils Cast for ‘The Knock’

Central City Opera has announced its cast for “The Knock.”

The opera by Aleksandra Vrebalov and Deborah Brevoort will star Mary-Hollis Hundley, Armando Contreras, Katherine Pracht, Cierra Byrd, Sydney Dardis, and Jamila Drecker-Waxman; this represents company debuts for Hundley and Byrd.

David Bloom conducts, and Alison Moritz directs.

“The Knock” explores the untold stories of military spouses during the Iraq War. It was commissioned by The Glimmerglass Festival and Cincinnati Opera and opens at Central City Opera on July 5, 2025. The run goes through August 2, 2025.
