
Central City Opera Announces Cast for ‘The Barber of Seville’
By Francisco SalazarThe Central City Opera has announced the cast for Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville.”
The star-studded cast of the production will feature a host of performers who have graced the stage everywhere from Seattle to Salzburg, from Minnesota Opera to the Metropolitan Opera.
The Creative Team will be led by Eric Sean Fogel who directs at Central City for the first time, after his work as Associate Director on “West Side Story” at Houston Grand Opera and directing “The Rake’s Progress” at The Glimmerglass Festival.
Louis Lohraseb will conduct a cast that includes Lisa Marie Rogali as Rosina, Andrew Morstein as Count Almaviva, Luke Sutliff as Figaro, Stefan Egerstrom as Don Basilio, and Laura Corina Sanders as Berta. Ashraf Sewailam rounds out the cast as Bartolo.
“The Barber of Seville” will be performed as part of the Central City Opera’s 2025 season and will open between June 28 and August 3, 2025.
