Brooklyn Art Song Society Releases ‘Histories I: Das Wort’ for Stream

Brooklyn Art Song Society has released its concert “Histories I: Das Wort” for streaming.

The company’s performance can be seen for free access and features a program exploring the themes of Love, Sin, and Redemption through the music of Brahms, Dvořák, and Wolf.

The concert features outstanding performances by vocalists Lucy Fitz Gibbon, Anna Laurenzo, Sidney Outlaw, and Brian James Myer, and pianists Ryan McCullough, Warren Jones, and Michael Brofman.

BASS next presents “Histories II: Medieval” inspired works by modern composers.  The evening will showcase Elisabeth Marshall, Sara LeMesh, Jennifer Zetlan, Erin Wagner, Nana Shi, and Michael Brofman perform works by Samuel Barber, Libby Larsen, Gilda Lyons, David Ludwig’s arrangments of Guillaume de Machaut.
