André Rieu Slams Trump Team for Using Footage in Promo Video
By Francisco SalazarFormer President and convicted criminal Donal Trump is under fire by legendary artist André Rieu’s team.
After a short clip featuring Dutch orchestra leader André Rieu and singer Emma Kok was used without permission in a promotional video for Donald Trump, Rieu’s son Pierre called the video’s content “disgusting.”
The violinist’s son also said, “Texts such as ‘if you spill a drop of American blood we will spill a gallon of yours’ are horrible and violent. Luckily, that man (Musk) is very active on Twitter and it will sink down his timeline.”
The video, which features footage of gladiators, Hulk Hogan, and “The Patriot,” shows Rieu playing the violin and the 16-year-old singer Kok, for one second.
Pierre Rieu said his father’s team would not be taking legal action against the Trump team but hoped that the video would disappear as soon as possible.
Trump’s campaign has been under fire for using many artists’ music such as Pavarotti, Beyoncé, Foo Fighters, and Jack White, among many others.
