Amelia Island Opera Announces 2027 Production & Honors Trustee Robyn Marie Lamp
By David SalazarAmelia Island Opera has announced its marquee production for the 2026–2027 season: Massenet’s “Werther,” scheduled for May 2027 and directed by Scott Skiba.
The production will star tenor Isaac Hurtado in the title role, with mezzo-soprano Victoria Isernia as Charlotte and soprano Brooklyn Snow returning as Sophie.
The announcement comes as the company concludes its fifth season, which culminated in a double bill of Leonard Bernstein’s “Trouble in Tahiti” and Rossini’s “Il Signor Bruschino.” The season marked several organizational milestones, including Professional Company Membership with Opera America.
Co-founder and trustee Robyn Marie Lamp has been honored with the Opera America National Opera Trustee Recognition Award (NOTRA) for her service and leadership in guiding the company’s development since its founding.
Established in 2021 by baritone John Tibbetts, Isernia, and Lamp, Amelia Island Opera has grown into one of Northeast Florida’s leading cultural organizations, recently celebrating five consecutive sold-out performances. Alongside its mainstage productions, the company maintains educational programming through an annual Vocal Competition, youth outreach, and partnerships with First Coast Opera and other regional cultural organizations.
