Alannah Garnier to Lead African Americans for LA Opera’s Concert at The Ebell

Soprano Alannah Garnier is set to perform at The Ebell.

Each season, African Americans for LA Opera (AALAO) present a fall recital, a history seminar with recital during Black History Month, and the annual Father’s Day celebration, along with other activities. This year, Garnier and pianist Charlie Kim perform at the annual “Ben Kerr Father’s Day Recital.”

Garnier is a member of the LA Opera Chorus, where she recently performed in Phillip Glass’ “Akhnaten,” and will be heard in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte” next. She is a former member of the LA Master Chorale and  Metropolitan Opera Chorus. Garnier is featured on the 2019/2020 Grammy-Award winning production of The Met’s “Porgy and Bess” as well as on the LA Philharmonic’s Grammy-Award Winning recording, “Ives: Complete Symphonies.”

This concert is scheduled for 12 p.m. at The Ebell on June 21.
