Soprano Desiree Frahn joins Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s holiday program, “Christmas Unwrapped.”

Frahn, the Graduate Singers, the Elder Conservatorium Chorale, and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra are led by Guy Noble. The program features include Malcom Arnold’s “The Holly and the Ivy” (“Fantasy on Christmas Carols,”) “Sergei Prokofiev’s Lieutenant Kijé: Troika,” Howard Blake’s “The Snowman,” “Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride,” and an interactive version of “12 Days of Christmas.”

“There will be laughs, there will be rousing singing, there will be lots of quiet moments where the beauty of the orchestra will shine through,” Noble told OperaWire.

Frahn is a regular soloist with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and has also appeared with such companies as the State Opera South Australia (where she is a principal artist) and the James & Diana Ramsey Foundation Opera Program.

“Christmas Unwrapped” runs Dec. 15 – 16, starting at 7.30 p.m. at the Festival Theatre.
