Opera Steamboat Teams Up With Wildhorse Cinema + Arts

“Opera Meets Rave: The Ultimate Sonic Mashup” is a “electric playground where soaring arias meet pulse-pounding beats” led by DJ Justin. The unique set blends the drama of opera with the high energy of rave. This event is scheduled for May 23, at 7 p.m.
Up next, Opera Steamboat and Undiscovered Earth present the film debut of “Welcome to the Madness.” Leanna Kirchoff and Rachel J. Peters’ opera was originally staged at the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School & Camp in Aug. 2024. After the screening, Kirchoff and filmmaker Austin Asher will share insights into the creative process of bringing this opera to life on screen. The film version of “Welcome to the Madness” will take place on June 25, at 7 pm. Wild Horse Cinema + Arts hosts.
Next season Opera Steamboat will present “Falling in Love with Cree Carrico,” Peter Rothstein’s “All is Calm,” and “Spirituals in Motion.”
