Opera Steamboat Unveils 2024 Season
By David SalazarOpera Steamboat has unveiled its 2024 season which will feature two productions.
First up is a production of “Brundibár” by composer Hans Krása and librettist Adolf Hoffmeister. The first performance will take place at Colorado Mountain College with the second scheduled for The Depot Art Center.
Performance Dates: March 16 & 17, 2024
Then comes “Welcome to the Madness” by composer Leanna Kirchoff and librettist Rachel J. Peters. The work explores the founding of the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School & Camp in Steamboat. The work is originally commissioned by Opera Steamboat and will be performed on the campus of Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School & Camp. The ensemble Lauren Baumgarner, Sarah Cain, Elijah English, Thomas Litchev, John-Joseph Haney, Monica Talavera, Yunxuan Zhuain, and Mason O’Brien.
Performance Dates: August 22 – 25, 2024
