By Francisco Salazar

Renée Fleming is set to perform at The Shed as part of the hall’s reopening schedule.

The soprano will perform at the New York City Arts center  on April 21 for a live audience at 8 p.m. Last week The Shed announced “An Audience with…,” a five-night indoor performance series from April 2 to 22 produced in accordance with New York State health guidelines.

Audiences looking to check out Renée Fleming in performance can also see her in PBS’s broadcast of the soprano’s concert with the Met Opera in 2020 as part of the Met Stars Live in Concert series.

The series will bring back audiences to experience live music and comedy safely.

Other performers in the series include singer and cellist Kelsey Lu on April 2, musicians from the New York Philharmonic on April 14 and 15, and comedian Michelle Wolf on April 22.

“An Audience with…” will kick off The Shed’s spring/summer program. The Shed is also partnering with Frieze New York as well as the Tribeca Film Festival.
