Kammerakademie Potsdam Names New Artistic Director

Kammerakademie Potsdam has announced its next Artistic Director.

The company revealed that François Leleux will take over the position starting before the 2025-26 season. He takes over for Antonello Manacorda.

Leleux is an official oboist and conductor who has worked with such organizations as the Camerata Salzburg, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, hr-Sinfonieorchester, Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg, and the Hungarian National Philharmonic, among others.

“Making music with the Kammerakademie Potsdam is a joy and a fascinating challenge. The musicians are fantastic and open to new ideas. It will be an important and exciting time in my life as an artist. A feast for the ears,” said Leleux per an official press release.

“We are happy and grateful to be able to shape our musical future with an outstanding artistic personality like François Leleux. His artistic expertise, his innovative program ideas and his unifying way of bringing stage and audience together make him a wonderful partner for the KAP and for Potsdam,” added Adriana Kussmaul, the Managing Director.
