Anna Netrebko Replaces Renée Fleming in Berlin Concert

The Staatsoper Unter den Linden has announced that Anna Netrebko will replace Renée Fleming on Dec. 8, 2025.
The company said that Fleming had to cancel the concert for health reasons and undergo necessary knee surgery. She has therefore canceled her entire European tour.
In a statement, Netrebko said, “It is with great joy that I will unexpectedly be making my recital debut on the stage of the Berlin Staatsoper, a wonderful opera house to which I always enjoy returning. I wish Renée Fleming, one of my favorite singers, whom I greatly admire, a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.”
Netrebko will perform alongside Serena Malfi and Pavel Nebolsin.
Fleming also canceled her concert at the Gran Teatre del Liceu and will be replaced by Nadine Sierra and Ludovic Tezier.
