Zenith Opera Competition Announces Dates for 2024 Edition

The Zenith Opera Competition has unveiled its 2024 edition.

The final round will take place in Berlin on May 26, 2024. It will feature eight singers presenting two arias to the final panel. The first-place winner will receive a $3,000 cash prize with the second earning $2,000 and the third place earning $1,000. The remainder of the finalists will each receive an encouragement award of $500.

The preliminary round will require singers to submit videos of two arias. The semifinals will take place online with 25 singers presenting one aria; some may be asked to sing part of a second aria.

This year’s jury includes David Lomelí (Santa Fe Opera, The Dallas Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper), Alex Fernandez (Teatro Nacional de Santiago, Chile), Leticia Martin Ruiz (Gran Teatre del Liceu), Boris Ignatov (Stuttgart Staatsoper), Cornelia Preissinger (Leipzig), Brian Speck (Metropolitan Opera), Tibor Brouwer (Hilbert Management Artist), and Sandra Hormozi (Encompass Arts).
